#home. There are free items on this website such as practice tests and flashcards. If you
have bought a new book you also have included an access code where you can access
more resources. Sign up for an account using your access code.
Testing: There will be six (6) content tests, and a written paper. The 6 tests and the paper
will be averaged to give you the course grade. They all have the same weight. You may
see your average throughout the semester by getting out a calculator and averaging your
grades. There are no make-up exams as you may take each test twice.
If you have any questions, email me in the D2L section of the class, I will get back with
you within 48 hours, Monday through Friday as is System Policy.
Grade Policy:
Grades will be assigned in accordance with Lone Star grading policy which is stated in
the Lone Star Catalog and below:
A: 90-100
B: 80-89
C: 70-79
D: 60-69
F: 59 and lower
Attendance Policy: Attendance is a very important part of being successful in class. I
take attendance every class day at the beginning of class. If you are late to class or if you
leave early you will not be counted present for the day. If you miss class three days in a
row you may be dropped from the class. If your attendance is good (no more than 1
absence for the semester) and your average in class is three or less points from the next
highest grade, I will boost you up a grade at the end of the semester. Coming in late or
leaving early is disruptive to the class, please don’t do it.
Paper: You will be given a packet of personality tests. You are to take these tests and
interpret them with the keys I give you. You are then to pick a theory (Behaviorism,
Psychoanalytic or Evolutionary) and describe yourself and your personality from one of
those theoretical perspectives. For example, how would an Evolutionary Psychologist
describe you from the information on the personality tests that you took? The paper must
be typed, 12 point font, at least 8 pages of text not including the cover page, have a cover
page and be double spaced. This assignment has the same weight as a test. The paper
needs to be turned into the drop box in D2L.
Paper is due no later than Friday, October 10 at 12 Noon.
