Their contact info: 1.866.614.5014 and online@lonestar.edu Attendance: Over the years I have seen that most of my A and B students have good classroom attendance. Because of this I consider it an important issue. I take attendance every day at the beginning of class. If you come in after I have done so, it is YOUR responsibility to come up to me after class and let me know that you were late but in attendance for that day. Failure to do so will result in your being counted absent for the day. At the end of the term I award points to those close to the next grade who have had perfect or near perfect attendance (no more than 1 absence). If you are absent make sure you contact a fellow student to see what you have missed. Late Work: Late work will not be accepted or graded. If you have any questions, email me in the class, I will get back with you within 48 hours, Monday through Friday, as stated in System Policy. Discussion Board: You must go to the online section of this class (D2L) and post at least 4 times a week. I will post websites, films, etc on the course announcement section each week. You may also post on issues covered in class, in the text, in the news, etc. The discussion board will be labeled with different topics that are covered in class. Failure to post at least 4 times a week will reflect negatively on your participation grade. Grammar, Spelling and Writing This is a college class and the professor expects all students to use correct usage of the English language and proper spelling and capitalization in all written work. This includes the paper, discussion postings, and emails. If you have a problem with this you can get help from the Learning Center that is located on the second floor of the PAC Building. Test Taking: Please do not leave tests till the very end. Things happen. If your system goes down right before the end of the class date or something happens in your personal life and you cannot take a test, you will not be given an extension as it would not be fair to the other students. Please do not ask for an extension. Multiculturalism: We live in a diverse community, state, country and world. Therefore, multiculturalism and cross-cultural issues are incorporated into the lectures, assignments, videos, and discussions of this course. Tech Problems: You are responsible for your computers.
