Use the Internet and the ITT Tech Virtual Library to research the following popular
programming languages:





COBOL
Fortran
C
Perl
Java
For each, answer the following questions:
1. Who was the creator of each of these languages?
2. When was each of these languages created? Was there a specific motivation
behind the creation of these languages? If so, what was it?
