Technical Project Management for Electronic Commerce ITT Technical Institute – Burr Ridge has informed the Illinois Board of Higher Education of its intent to seek authorization to grant two new degree programs. • Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering Technology: The purpose of this program is to help graduates begin to prepare for careers in a variety of entry-level positions in various fields involving electronics engineering technology, including communication systems. The upper division courses of this program build upon the electronics, computer technology, science, mathematics and general education coursework completed in lower division courses by offering a more rigorous foundation in electronic circuitry and communication systems engineering technology through the study of subjects such as circuit analysis, circuit design, data and network communications, digital communications in the presence of noise, calculus and additional general education coursework. • Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Security: Individuals with knowledge of information systems security are now considered to be an important part of most information technology (IT) infrastructure teams. Roles cover a range of activities spanning from analysis to design and implementation of security systems, to security monitoring and countermeasures and ongoing administration. Students will study the essentials of information security and the security aspects of common information technology platforms. Students will be exposed to techniques used to deploy and manage security systems and configure security solutions. • Bachelor of Science in Technical Project Management for Electronic Commerce: This program can help graduates prepare for a career managing technical projects in a variety of electronic commerce (EC) service industries. The program is designed to teach students the application of information technology project management skills in combination with technical knowledge to implement EC infrastructures.
