Programming Festival Coordinator, Come Out Children’s Festival Adelaide Festival Centre is the creative hub of South Australia and produces a bold, exciting and extensive program of festivals, events, performances and activities. As part of Adelaide Festival Centre’s drive to build on its strong position as an internationally recognised performing arts centre, an opportunity has become available for a Festival Coordinator, reporting to the Creative Producer, Come Out Children’s Festival, whose role will be to work with the Producer on Adelaide’s Come Out Children’s Festival. In consultation with the Creative Producer, this position will be responsible for: • Preparing contracts for the engagement of artists • Coordinating the delivery of content from artists for the festival brochure to marketing • Developing, implementing and maintaining artist information and festival schedules and operating procedures to ensure the effective delivery of the festival. • Creating and maintaining databases, performance schedules, artist itineraries, travel and accommodation and other program coordination as required. This will be done in alignment with other Festival Program Coordinators. • Providing administrative support to the Creative Producer and performing any other duties as directed by the Creative Producer, within level of skills, experience and competence. To succeed in this role you will need sound organisational skills and the ability to show initiative and think outside the square. Exceptional self-management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines are essential. The successful applicant will have: • Previous experience in a festival or major event environment • Sound project coordination skills • Excellent attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including experience liaising with artists, companies and agents • Sound computer literacy skills in MS Word, Excel, EBMS and database administration. • Sound time management skills and ability to prioritise workload This full time employment opportunity will commence in March 2016 and conclude in June 2017.
