Revision Date: 05/18/2012 Page: ENV-14 1 of 2 PURPOSE: This procedure provides for periodically reviewing the EMS with Senior Management to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness. This procedure has been prepared in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001, 4.6. SCOPE: This procedure applies to the Management Review of the LCSWMA’s EMS. Procedure 1.1 The Technical Services Department schedules and compiles the information for presentation to the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Management at the management review. Management Review Meeting Minutes (ENV-14A) are prepared and serve as guidance for conducting and documenting the management review. 1.2 Management reviews are conducted semi-annually-once as part of the annual budget process with a second review approximately six (6) months later. 1.3 The Technical Services Department, in conjunction with Senior Management, addresses the possible need for changes to the policy, objectives and targets and the EMS based on the management review. 1.4 The Technical Services Department prepares an action plan to address any areas identified for improvement pursuant to the review. The Objective and Target Log Form (ENV-03A) can be used for purposes of initiating and managing any follow up actions. ENV-14 2 of 2 Responsibilities 2.1 Technical Services Department The Senior Manager, Technical Services and/or Environmental Compliance Manager are responsible for coordinating the management review and for preparing action plans for improvement items pursuant to the review. 2.2 Senior Management and the Chief Executive Officer The Senior Management may assist in compiling the information necessary to conduct the management review. The Senior Management and the Chief Executive Officer determine the ongoing suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of the EMS, and/or the need for improvement based on the information reviewed. 3.
