6.0 INFRASTRUCTURE Huldra Silver Inc. is constructing a mining camp on previously logged and developed property identified as District Lot 1213……. The property was previously part of an eco-adventure camp referred to as The Gak. The property was purchased by Huldra Silver Inc. from The Gak holdings on February 24, 2011. The entire surface area of the property has been previously cleared of all trees and only brush remains. There are a sufficient number of roads and cleared area that there will be no additional disturbance in construction of the mining camp. This will comply with the Ministry of Environment Order-WHA #8-083 to 8-089 for Cascade Forest District regarding Access and Harvesting. The Gak has constructed 18 yurts of various sizes, one large garage, one workshop, and three washroom facilities. All the structures with the exception of the washroom facilities have either been dismantled or are in disrepair. As part of the construction all of the remaining garbage, broken structures, and parts of buildings will be cleaned up and either recycled or disposed of by Huldra Silver Inc. Huldra proposes to construct a camp on the property that will include; • Fresh Water Supply • Permanent Camp Facilities • Sewage Treatment • Maintenance Complex • Office, First Aid and Communications Complex • Power Supply and Electrical Distribution • Waste Management 6.1 FRESH WATER SUPPLY A fresh water supply in the form of a drilled well will be used for the camp supply of potable water. A well will be drilled in the immediate area south of the camp for fresh water consumption and use. A Government Certified installer has been consulted to design the system required. A full Water Licence Application has been submitted to the Government of British Columbia Natural Resource Program, Kamloops office, on January 11, 2011 for this use. The well will be drilled to proper depth to ensure adequate perk volumes for the 24 man camp. Water Consumption Estimates AREA USE VOLUME – m3/day Camp-Dorm units Toilets, showers, laundry 15.5 m3 Camp-Kitchen/Dinning Kitchen operations 1.760 m3 Camp-Office/First Aid Small laundry facility, sink. 0.57 m3 1. CAMP FACILITIES The proposed camp is located as outlined in fig. XXXXXXX. Camp design has been assisted by a qualified supplier of this type of facility to ensure compliance of the building code. The camp is designed for 25 men. The opportunity to have female employees has been taken into consideration and designed into the camp facilities. The camp will consist of a complete kitchen and dining facility, sleeper section, attached washroom facilities, recreation rooms and separate mud room for transition area. Details of these facilities are as follows: Code Requirements Structural, BC Building Code - Part 3 (2006) Electrical, CSA-Canadian Electrical Code - Part 1 (2006) Plumbing, BC Building Code – Part 7 (2006) 1. SEWAGE TREATMENT A self-contained sewage treatment processing system will be constructed on site. This system has been designed by a local registered onsite Wastewater Practioner, licensed and insured (NAME). The flow rates used for design and system schematics are attached (Please refer to figure XXXXXXXX) The system will be underground and include grease interceptor, course aeration, mixing tank, secondary treatment and then pressured effluent dispersed into a disbursement field. Final dispersal field is assumed to be 800 lineal feet of trench however final design is dependent on actual soil tests on site this spring. All work will be in conjunction with Ministry of Health regulations required for this type of sewage treatment. 3. MAINTENANCE COMPLEX A central maintenance complex would be constructed to provide shops for maintenance and repairing of surface and underground equipment, light vehicle repair and tire repair facilities. This structure will be engineered to facilitate the extreme shift of weather from season to season in this area. Included in this complex would be storage space for spare parts and consumables. Power for this building would be pulled overhead from the camp generator located in close proximity, across the road. Details of this facility are as follows: Code Requirements Structural, BC Building Code - Part 3 (2006) Electrical, CSA-Canadian Electrical Code - Part 1 (2006) Plumbing, BC Building Code – Part 7 (2006) Structural Roof Design Load = 100 PSF Floor Design = Concrete Slab Roof Pre-Engineered roof designed by building supplier Floor Concrete slab Walls Pre-Engineered walls sitting on concrete blocks to support added side load from snow pack Doors – Exterior Shop Door: Pre manufactured 12’ x 14’ overhead door to accommodate large equipment Man Doors: 3’-0” x 6’-8” exterior type door Aluminum face and insulated core, Prefinished white both sides Panic hardware (Push bar inside, thumblatch outside) , c/w cylinder lock Chainstop 4. OFFICE / FIRST AID / COMMUNICATIONS COMPLEX A central office complex would be located within the area of the camp. The office would consist of a 60 foot trailer and include a meeting area and offices. The fully equipped First Aid station would be located in the office complex with a dividing wall and separate entrance. A communications network will be established using the most modern technology available. This would utilize satellite technology and wireless communication for voice, fax, internet and PC network traffic to ensure 24 hr communications to all points of the mine property and surrounding area. The communications infrastructure would consist of satellite link, telephone private branch exchange system, wireless internet, desktop and laptop computers, copper and fibre cable and site VHF radio system. The site VHF radio system would also be working in conjunction with all Tolko vehicle traffic in the area to ensure road safety. A backup power source, separate from the camp power, would ensure 24 hour contact and communications. POWER SUPPLY AND ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION Electrical power for the Treasure Mountain Mine property will be obtained from two new fuel efficient diesel generators. The generators will be rated at 250 kW each and be self-contained including fuel storage and fuel containment. Each generator will also have its own portable building which will house distribution panels for use in the camp and the mine. The generators will be located strategically in the camp to minimize noise and at the top of the mountain to service the mine requirements. Distribution lines and exact location are indicated on figure XXXXXXXXXXX. The camp generator will be located near the shop facility to accommodate service to it. The camp distribution wires will be overhead from the power distribution unit, located near the generator, to the kitchen/dining building. From there, distribution will continue overhead to the sleeping dorm including the mud room and recreation facilities. Overhead power will also be supplied to the mine office, first aid facility. Site lighting will be attached to power poles to adequately illuminate the camp. The power requirements for the 30 man camp would include the added demand from site lighting, air conditioning and heat tracing for the water works, the self-contained generator of 250 kW will be used to ensure adequate power during peak periods. The generator would be fully contained and come with double walled fuel storage with spill pans to manage risk of the of fuel or oil leakage. Environmental spill kits will be on hand at the generator stations. Table insert with consumption details.
