WEB DESIGN & MULTIMEDIA
Basic web scripting - Basic HTML coding, coding links, pictures and sound. Basics of web design and
interactivity with an emphasis on workable web architecture.
Interactive Design for web and multimedia - A more advanced look at how to make a site easy to surf, to
search. Coding of forms, cascading style sheets and basic java scripting.
Advanced Web Design - Advanced Web Design Students worked with a client to create an appropriate
design, which was then coded by the instructor.

FINE,COMMERICAL & PERFORMANCE ARTS
Introduction to Theatrical Set Design - An introduction to the process of developing a scenic design for
the theatre. Students develop their designs in sketches, renderings, and a groundplan.
Introduction to Theatrical Costume Design - An introduction for animation students to the process of
creating theatrical costume design for their own character designs.
Life Drawing - An introduction, for advanced drawing students, to the human form, using live models.
Students use charcoal, inks and pastels on both toned and white papers.
Fundamentals of Drawing & Design - Students are exposed to a variety of design media in a lab setting.
Survey of Visual Communications - A history of graphic design, animation and multimedia, with a focus
on lab projects.
History of Animation - A survey of the beginnings of animation through modern work with an emphasis
on social commentary.
Portfolio Layout & Professional Development - Portfolio Preparation, resume development, and
jobsearch skills within the fine art and commercial arts fields.
Traditional Background Rendering for Animation - Techniques for 2D animation background rendering
using inks, acrylics, and watercolors.
Animal & Human Anatomy - Advanced drawing students learn drawing from live models and from onsite drawing trips to the zoo. Bone and Muscle structure is learned so students can
more effectively animate characters.
Character Design - Students learn to develop a design based on the character’s attributes. Their ideas are
first sketched, then rendered into a set of model sheets, and finally animated.
3D Design & Sculpture - This course introduces 2D animators to design in 3D. Students develop
sculpture based of paper models, clay, and finally develop a series of sketches to turn
a 2D painting into a 3D sculpture.
