There is an emphasis on automated accounting. Topics include a more analytical approach to accounting. Leadership development will be provided through FBLA. Follow directions the 1st time they are given. Be in your seat when the bell rings. Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak. Stay in your seats unless you are given permission. No cursing or teasing. Class Procedures: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Students will perform bell work immediately after entering the classroom. Students will remain at their desk (table) at the end of the bell until teacher dismisses the class. Students will remain seated at their desk (table) during class unless given permission. Students will raise their hands and wait for permission to speak during class. Students should use the restroom before class. There will be no passes given during class time. Absences: All matters related to student absences, including making up work or quizzes/test, are to be arranged between the student and the teacher before or after school. Students will be given two (2) school days to turn in work. On the third school day after the absence, the missed assignment will no longer be accepted and would result in a zero (0) for the student’s grade. Computer Lab Rules: As a student in the business department, you will complete assignments and research work online. Students are to follow the guidelines set forth in the school policy concerning responsible and educational use of internet sites. See below for a few, but not all, of the guidelines found in the school policy. Disrespect for school property will not be tolerated. Students are not to change any settings on the computer other than those that result through normal completion of class activities. Screen savers and wallpaper will be uniform throughout each lab. Students are not to change these settings. Our lab and printers are in excellent condition. Students and parents will be financially responsible for any deliberate damage or irresponsible accidental damage to equipment. In addition to financial responsibility, students will be subject to disciplinary actions such as detention, in-school suspension or Saturday detention. No food/drinks are permitted on the tables by the computers.
