I have more than six years of experience in the IT field with Oracle Products as Programmer,
Developer, Analyst and currently Senior Database Administrator (DBA). I am a certified Oracle
8i & 9i Professional DBA (OCP); I am also IBM Certified Specialist UNIX AIX 4 User and IBM
Certified Specialist UNIX AIX 5L System Administrator.
My main areas of strength are Working as a DBA for an online Internet Banking system in one
of the largest banks in Saudi Arabia and a DBA on Data warehouse in two large banks in
(Saudi Arabia and UAE) on different Platforms AIX, Solaris based enterprise servers,

 Maintaining a 24 x 7 online critical database to keep it up and running.
 Monitoring performance of the database to keep it fast as much as possible.
 Upgrading the production database from Oracle 8.1.6.0 to Oracle 9.2.0.5 with Oracle 9i
RAC implementation.

Oracle 8i/9i Database Administrator (DBA) for: the production database of data warehousing and
OFSA Implementation project.
Achievement:
 Installing and Configuring Oracle 8i Server Enterprise Edition on IBM UNIX AIX 5l.
 Configuring and managing Oracle Transparent Gateway for DB2 on MVS OS/390.
 Maintaining the huge production database for the Data Warehouse of Al-Rajhi. It is more
than 500 GB of data with more than 20 GB of monthly data.
 Designing the logical file systems distribution over physical disks to achieve the best
database performance for the production database.
 Creating, configuring and managing Data Warehousing Project Production Database
(Huge tables are partitioned for better performance).
 Managing Database users, security, authorizations and profiles to achieve best
performance and resource usage.
 Developing a backup strategy for the production database (Closed only, no need for
archiving in such an environment).
 Solving all performance and bottleneck problems during bulk loads and mappings (A lot
of problems, use of parallel execution, using indexes properly, gathering statistics, etc to
achieve best performance).
 Migrating the database sever from 8i to 9i (9.2) successfully and make all necessary
changes in system and parameters to suite the new version.
 Training junior DBA team of Al-Rajhi.
