School of Historical and Philosophical Studies, The Faculty of Arts Subject Coordinator, Australia in the World 1914 to 2014 (HIST20070) Semester 2, 2015 Expressions of interest are sought for the position of Coordinator for the undergraduate 2nd-year lecture subject, Australia in the World 1914 to 2014 (HIST20070), to be taught in second semester 2015 in the School of Historical and Philosophical Studies at the University of Melbourne. The Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery of lectures, for all administrative tasks associated with the assessment and delivery of the subject, and production of the subject guide. The Coordinator will also be expected to take at least two tutorials. Please see the following link for more information about the subject content: https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/view/2015/HIST20070 Selection criteria: A PhD in Australian history or a discipline relevant to the content of the subject Demonstrated excellence in teaching of undergraduate subjects at the tertiary level, including in subject co-ordination, delivery of lectures and assessment Demonstration of high-level organisational and communication skills A capacity to teach students from different academic backgrounds Applications should provide: An academic CV including details of relevant teaching experience and performance at a tertiary level, including teaching evaluations; details of academic expertise and publication record; and the names of three academic referees who can comment on suitability for teaching.
