Pembroke Regional Hospital, located 150km northwest of Ottawa*, is a regional acute care
hospital with an annual operating budget of over 70 million dollars. We provide a variety of
acute and ambulatory care services including medicine, surgery, maternal and child care,
regional mental health care, regional rehabilitation, district stroke centre, emergency and
intensive care. Having recently completed and opened four new state of the art operating
theatres, we are now able to repatriate more surgical services closer to home. Our state of the
art digital diagnostic imaging department offers a wide variety of diagnostic modalities including
CT and nuclear medicine. In our continuing efforts to bring health care services closer to home,
we have expanded in the areas of systemic therapy and geriatric day program.

We are currently recruiting for the following position:
 ACCOUNTANT – This non-union position offered on a Full-time basis. The Accountant
functions as a member of the Finance team to support the provision of financial and
statistical data that is required to support Hospital services.
REQUIREMENTS:
 Successful completion of a recognized program in Accounting (CGA, CMA, CA, or
equivalent)
 Knowledge of accounting software programs
 Advanced skills with Excel
 Proficient in the use of other Microsoft Office Suites
 Familiarity with data extraction and analysis from data systems
 Ability to work independently and as a member of team
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet recurring deadlines
 Must have demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standards of the Hospital
ASSETS:
 Bilingualism (English/French)
 Experience in Healthcare
