Description Focuses on current problems and issues in risk management and insurance. This is the capstone course in the Risk Management/Insurance curriculum and should be taken the senior year. The course will include communication, teamwork, and computer skills. Prerequisite: RMI 3335 or permission of department chair. Objectives On completion of the course, the student should be able to: 1. Apply accounting and finance principles in an insurance context. 2. Pass the CPCU 540 (Business and Financial Analysis) pre-license examination (formerly CPCU 8). Purpose To provide an opportunity to apply accounting and finance principles to solving problems in risk management and insurance accounting, with an emphasis on refining accounting, finance, and analytical tools for decision-making.
