What services, assistance, or additional resources/equipment for student organizations would you like the SOURCE to provide that it currently does not? 3. What is the best way for the SOURCE to communicate news and information to your student organization leaders and general members? Email your answers to burden.37@osu.edu or SOURCE@osu.edu -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ohio Union Final Farewell: Smudging Ceremony As the Ohio Union prepares to permanently close its doors, please join us for a Smudging Ceremony, a Native American cleansing ritual, on Tuesday, January 30th at 11:30am, in the second floor main lounge of the Ohio Union (1739 North High Street). Native American Elders have taught that before something can be healed, it must be cleansed of negative energy, and then purified with offerings of thanks. By burning Sage, a sacred plant for indigenous peoples, bad feelings are replaced with positive ones, and prayers are carried away with the smoke. The smudging ceremony will be used to purify the Ohio Union of negative energy as we prepare for deconstruction of the current space and the future construction of the new building. Please join us as we say our last farewell to the Ohio Union. This will be the last time the Union will be open to the public and we would love to have you share in this final memory. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SOURCE Mailboxes available in the new space Organizations that are interested in having mailboxes in our new Ohio Stadium space must apply (or re-apply). Please visit our website at http://sail.org.ohio-state.edu for registration and conference information! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Adventures for Wish Kids Carnival On February 4th, Hillel will be hosting an Adventures for Wish Kids Carnival! For those of you that don't know what this is- Adventures for Wish Kids is an organization that offers adventures and outings to children with life threatening illnesses. You can check it all out at afwk.org or ask me more about it if you'd like. So, on Sunday February 4th (from 1-3pm) we will be having a large carnival here at Hillel (Disney themed!). So, we need organizations to have a game table, or some kind of carnival-esque booth. Your group will need to provide the supplies for the game, but we will provide you with prizes. There is a wide age range, so some can be geared towards little children and some towards older kids. We would need your organization to come up with a game/activity (if you are stuck, I can give you some ideas), provide the supplies and have members at the table at all times (including time for set and break down). Obviously, the more people at the table the better because the children really love to play and interact with cool, hip college students. PLEASE EMAIL ME BACK and let me know if you are interested and would like to participate. Talk to your Greek chapters or organizations and let them know about it. --For more information, contact Andrea Weiss (weiss.202@osu.edu) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------USG Wants to talk to you!
