Julie Foster, Off Site Julie Foster is currently a Sr. IT Projects Specialist for the Networking and IT Client Services unit in the Office of Information Technology at Montgomery College. Julie began working at Montgomery College in 1988 in the Office of Auxiliary Services as a Minicomputer Technician. In 1998, she moved to the Office of Information Technology as a Computer Support Technician. Since that time Julie has progressed through several positions involving desktop support and project management to her current position which involves coordinating major college-wide projects such as relocating the data center from Rockville campus to Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus. Throughout her career at Montgomery College Julie has been active in the Staff Senate, collegewide initiatives and numerous development programs. Julie served as Vice-Chair and Chair of the Staff Senate in 1994-95. In these roles she participated as a member of the President’s cabinet and the President’s Planning Council. Over the years, she has also served on two Budget Advisory committees, and many other college-wide advisory groups. Julie graduated from the very first Leadership Development Institute, the Graduate series Leadership program, the Developing a Skillful Supervisor program and the Academic Leadership Program. Julie has demonstrated her commitment to the value of education through the pursuit of her own educational goals. While continuing her career at Montgomery College, Julie has graduated from Montgomery College with a degree in General Studies, a BS degree in Information Systems Management from UMUC and a MBA from UMUC. Julie is now able to view Montgomery College from yet another perspective in her additional role as an adjunct faculty member.
