Steering Committee Minutes

Attendance:

Quarterly Oracle Critical Patches – Go live Nov. 23 - Julie reported critical patches not going
to PROD this weekend due to the Admissions office being open. Now scheduled for November
23. Julie would like user testing done by Thursday. IT is working on a bypass for student email
system to keep it available for students during downtime. Access to Lynda will be down for
everyone and students cannot get to IUWare during the down time.
Evisions Upgrade – Go live Nov. 15 or after - Pam reported she is still doing some testing.
One issue was found and Terry Dougherty is working on the issue.
Banner Upgrades Oct. 12- Outstanding Issues – Julie asked if any other outstanding issues
form upgrade. IPFW logo is being worked on, needs certificate. Jim still working on trying
different fixes.
ODS Upgrade Plans – Kim reported they are waiting on PPRD refresh then load of ODS PPRD.
Degree Works Upgrade Plans – Julie reported we are waiting on PPRD refresh, waiting on
Evisions to go to PROD.
BRIO Conversion – Julie reported group met last week regarding list of reports to convert.
Hopefully first of December on future time frame for ending Brio.
Refresh of Test Systems Data – Julie reported PPRD will be done once Evisions is in PROD,
TRNG still in use for AR out of balance issue, Financial Aid testing rolling of financial aid
years. DEVL is still being used for the Graduate Admissions application.
New Projects (Julie Litmer-Schwaller):
a. Financial Aid Upgrade – coming soon to TRNG
b. Indiana Degree Maps – New laws for student planning and completing on time
c. Parent Proxy – Financial Aid office would like this to be implemented
d. Graduate Online Application – Waiting on Purdue approval
e. Cascading in Self-Service Banner – Writing request for adding cascading to Banner
in preparation for Luminis 5. It will be added to DEV2 to begin testing once Banner
DEV2 is back up.
Banner Black Board Integration – Terry reported upgrade happening in late December and
will be working on other software installations needed for the upgrade.

Self Service Banner Recruiting - Caroline will begin work on the on-line recruiting module in
Banner. Will also be sued to identify students planning on coming over from Ivy Tech.
