The Conform Dialog appears which simplify the process of sending conform jobs or other requests to The MAM system. In Common dialog box step by step instruction are given to move forward when sending a request to MAM system and data shown will depend on MAM system .Different parts of this GUI are: Title bar,Tab navigation,description Page 5 of 11 View,Main View,Button,Advance settings Verify the content of Title bar. The Title bar shows the name of the host application and what kind of operation that is in progress.title bar is present in window bar. Verify how Tab Navigation present on left side which is representing different stages for finalizing the request operation works. The current stage in processing is always highlighted.Once a stage is completed, a green tick mark will appear besides the stage name in question, and the next stage in the request will be highlighted as seen in Figure 5. By clicking any completed stage tab, there is always the option to revert to a previous stage if any changes need to be made. The Conform dialog will then be closed immediately. The Next and Previous buttons are used to move to the next or previous stage of the request respectively. The Next button is only active if all required input for the current stage is filled in. Check which keys can be used instead of buttons functions. Alt + Right/Left arrow can be used as shortcut keys for the Next and Previous buttons. Verify what happens on clicking Advanced settings Option. By accessing the Advanced Settings tab, additional settings for the material can be entered it is possible to manually override settings such as aspect ratio and start time code. Check how progress of a job can be monitored by Confirm/Status window At the top of the window, a summary of the request that has been submitted is placed. I Below the summary is a list of tasks that The MAM system needs to perform to complete the request. Each task has a description and a colored indicator that shows the current status of the task, as follows: Gray – indicates that the task has not been started yet. Yellow – indicates that the task is currently in progress. Page 10 of 11 Green – indicates that the task finished without errors. Red – indicates that something went wrong and that the task has failed. This will in most cases lead to a failed request. At the bottom of window is a progress bar that will update itself with respect to the status of the tasks involved to finish the request. Once the progress bar has reached 100% and all task indicators have turned green, the request operation to The MAM system has been finished, and the Conform dialog can be closed. Verify what are the contents after export is completed. The current total status is shown in transfer window. Verify whether it is possible to start a new export before and after the completion of previous export which has been submitted through conform dialog. As soon as a request has been submitted through the Conform dialog, it is possible to export a new sequence from the Avid editing client and open yet another instance of the Conform dialog, while still monitoring the progress of the first request.
