Discussion Details:
 Richard has had conversations with Samtec and they have agreed to
supply another Tx/Rx for the project. We now have three engines to use in
the project, Samtec, FCI, and Ultra Comm.
 Marika noted that we need to set up a minimum need of components and
enclosures for the project
o Richard said the Seagate is supplying one cage to the HDP project.
It appears that we should plan to use this one cage and move all
associated parts and cables needed for testing to each test location.
 Richard thought that there would be a need to have two boxes to house all
materials to each test location.
 Seagate will provide instructions on packaging/unpackaging and setup for
the testers
 Richard reported that PhhoxTrot is writing a comprehensive test
spec/procedure for the PhoxTrot project. He expected this may take 1 or 2
months to complete. If PhoxTrot made this available to HDP it could serve
as a model for our test plan, but it could severely hamper our schedule.
 We need a recommended test equipment list for the testers to use so that
they can provide feedback to the team on their readiness for testing
Actions Items:
 Marika asked Ulli to present an overview of the FCi engine at the next
telecom
 Marika, Brice and Richard to discuss the preparing of the HDP test
spec/procedure and decide on a path forward.
