Established by Richard Hamilton at McLaren Vale in 1972, Richard Hamilton Wines perpetuates a family heritage of continuous winemaking which dates back to Adelaide’s settlement in 1836. One of South Australia’s first vineyard’s and winery was founded in Adelaide in 1837 by Richard’s great, great grandfather, also a Richard Hamilton. This history and heritage is reflected in the wines made today, with the most modern of viticultural and winemaking techniques being used to ensure the retention of varietal fruit flavour and regional character in every wine produced.
