Having completed a BA Honors in Graphic Design and working in the current profession; I am a highly motivated
individual that possess the ability to meet set deadlines and briefs to the highest standard. I always aim to be the best

Senior Creative Designer (Freelancer) August 2013 to date












Currently working within the in-house marketing and communications team at Middlesex University.
Working closely with the Brand Manager to provide creative solutions for the campuses in London, Malta,
Mauritius and Dubai.
Manage a team of 3 designers, 2 freelancers and 1 in-house designer.
Attend client meetings, set workload schedules for the team and making sure the department is delivering an
excellent service at all times.
Producing a range of creative material such as brochures, financial reports/presentations, infographics, leaflets,
booklets, invites, posters, adverts, display stands, creative campaigns for events, logo design, corporate branding,
illustrations, merchandising material, PowerPoint presentations, HTML emailers, HTML newsletters Flash
presentations and interactive pdf’s.
Currently involved in the brand development of the University, applying new elements to all of the University’s
marketing materials.
Managing the correct use of the brand to staff, external clients, suppliers and partners are applying the University
brand guide lines. This can range from the use of the logo, the brand colours, the correct branded fonts, the
correct use of design and much more.
At times sourcing freelance illustrators, graphic designers and photographers when needed. This could be for a
specific project or just having some extra creative help due to busy workloads. Responsible for signing their
timesheets so they get paid by their respective agency.
Giving art direction to freelancers to ensure the brand is applied correctly and signing off projects in which they are
involved in.
Gave an opportunity to a student doing an apprenticeship in Graphic Design to work within our department for a
week to gain some experience. I provided him with creative guidance and set a few simple tasks for him to meet.
He thoroughly enjoyed it and is really looking forward to getting into his profession on a permanent basis.
Project management is very essential, as I currently keep a simple excel sheet recording the current jobs that
design team are working on, which person does one need to report to, when does the deadline need to be met
and allocate project numbers on each job. This is a very good method for me to keep track on what is going on, so
I can report back with the status on each of the multiple jobs that the team is managing to the Brand Manager.

the client. Making sure the printers receive a purchase order number or budget code by the client to ensure the
printers get paid for their services.

I worked for a construction and interior design services company.
Worked within the corporate proposals team and create bid/tender documents to win multi-million pound
contracts. The documents are supplied by a specific bid team from Fit-out or Construction to edit. This can range
from editing bid/tender documents, diagrams, logistic plans, cost plans of operations, creating story boards and
interactive presentations.
Project managing multiple jobs, making sure that the bid team are informed of the current progress of their project
and always inform the Proposals Manager the status of each project.


Managing external printers to get materials produced and delivered. Making sure all costs were approved by the
bid manager.
At times do in-house print jobs for documents, which need binding and provide the best print solutions for the
bid teams.

I worked within the corporate marketing team for a recruitment company.
Worked closely with the marketing managers, internal clients and external clients to provide
creative solutions to the companies’ specialist business streams; such as Randstad Financial & Professional,
Randstad Care, Randstad Education, Randstad Inhouse Services and many more.
I produced print and digital work for the business streams and also within the Marketing team. This ranged from
annual reports, business proposals, brochures, leaflets, booklets, invites, posters, adverts, display stands, logo
design, corporate branding, illustrations, PowerPoint presentations, HTML mailers, Flash presentations and
interactive pdf’s.
Project management was very essential, as I used to keep a simple word document recording the current jobs I
am working on, which marketing manager do I need to report to, which of their clients does this specific job belong
to, when does the deadline need to be met. I created a daily schedule for the marketing managers through a
simple email and schedule each manager at an allocated time so they could either brief me on to a new job or
work on an existing job.
Managed external printers to get materials produced and delivered. Making sure all costs were approved by the
client.
At times I used to do in-house print jobs for clients; these would range from newsletters, leaflets, posters and
much more.

This was my first opportunity working within a corporate environment.
I worked for a global engineering firm in their Group Marketing and Communications
department. Worked within the Graphics team to produce creative solutions to internal and external clients.
I produced creative material for the different business streams within the company. The streams were
Management Consulting, Central government, Local government, Health, Highways, Rail, Education services
and Utilities.
Produced print and digital work which ranged from annual reports, business proposals, brochures, leaflets,
posters, adverts, display stands, logo design, corporate branding, illustrations, to PowerPoint presentations, HTML
emails, Flash presentations and animations for the company website and intranet.
Project management was essential as I kept a simple word document recording the current jobs that I was
working on, which of their clients does this specific job belong to, when does the deadline need to be met.

the client.
Managed the company media library, this use to entail uploading stock photos, presentations and videos; so all
employees can have access to them for use.

Worked for the UK’s biggest healthcare supplier and worked with in the design team.
I worked closely with the design manager and marketing director, to produce material for their well-known
products such as; WELLMAN, PREGNACARE, MENOPACE, PERFECTIL and many more.
Produced adverts for the buses/ tube, display banners/stands, adverts for magazines, brochures, leaflet, product
packaging and create graphics for the web development team.

Project management was essential as I use to keep a simple word document recording the current jobs that I was
working on, which of their clients does this specific job belong to, when does the deadline need to be met. This
was a fantastic skill I developed, which I apply till this day with my current employers and previous employers;
after my time at Vitabiotics.


I would help clients communicate their message through Flash presentations, PowerPoint presentations, a large
visual diagram which would be called “a big picture”, and a website.

I have designed several websites using Flash and Dreamweaver.
Apple Macintosh and PC literate. In depth software knowledge in Indesign, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Illustrator,
Quark Xpress, Dreamweaver and Flash.
