Current Events Presentations As students of Español III you will give presentations throughout the year about current events in Spanish-speaking countries. All presentations are done individually, you may not work with a partner. Presentation Instructions and Guidelines You will choose and article from a Spanish news webpage. The article must be chosen and sent to the teacher TWO class days prior to the presentation (meaning if you are scheduled to present on a Friday, I need your article by Monday of the same week). Your article must be approved by me before you begin your presentation. You will create a PowerPoint/Prezi presentation in which you explain your current event and include background information on the topic (for example, if your current event is about the US/Cuba trade embargo, begin your presentation with background information explaining the topic and then discuss the article). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Your presentation must be completely in Spanish Your presentation must be NO LESS THAN 5 minutes You may NOT read from your slides (use notecards) Your slides MUST contain graphics and not just words Late presentations will receive a 5 point deduction for each missing day (accepted up to ONE day late) ** Presentation order and dates will be assigned by the teacher** ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------**Each student will receive a copy of the presenter’s article the class day before the presentation.
