Assignments:
Each week, assignments will be due. If your work is not turned in on the set day, you will be
required to attend tutorial class until the work is done. Even if an assignment is turned in
on time, you may be required to attend tutorial if the work has not met the minimum
learning outcomes.
An “I” will be issued to a student who has not handed in assignments or projects at the
requested time. When this “I” has been issued, you will have a deadline to complete the
assignment to a minimally acceptable level and tutorial time will be allocated for you to do
this. If the deadline passes with no work turned in, the mark for the assignment will be
changed to “F”. If you have tutorial with another teacher, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to
inform me and book time to do the needed work. Extra time or help beyond tutorial may be
set up before school, lunchtime, and after school. However, the student must make
arrangements with me in order to set this up.
Handing in work:
Most work will be saved in your school network account, or can be emailed to me at
bstreloff@sd83.bc.ca (only if saving to the school network is not possible). In order to
have your work marked, your finished assignments must be saved in a “Complete” folder. I
will try to get a mark recorded for you within one week. If this does not happen, be
patient!!
Computer Use Expectations:
You are only on the school’s website and related attachments doing class work. If you need
to go onto another site, tell me first where you are going and why. Violations of the school’s
computer use policy can result in various actions from school administration or myself and
could see you lose your computer privileges for the year.
Absolutely under no circumstances can you have any food or drink in the computer lab.
It is expected that students treat all computer lab equipment with respect and report any
problems with the equipment.
Attendance:
It is your responsibility to check with me either before or after an absence.
