Enrollment Process: Starting Fall 2006 all incoming students must:
1. Complete the Phlebotomy Technician program (also offered online – please

2. Complete all co-requisite courses required for the degree.
3. Submit all vaccinations required for admission.
4. Complete a criminal background check which must be negative.
Retraining or refresher course options: Students may take courses for
retraining and refreshing but will be required to find a clinical site willing to do the
hands-on skills with them. They will have the option of taking the courses for credit
or audit.

director. Acceptance to the program is provisional until the first semester’s course

are customized to each individual’s needs. They can be done on the internet if the
need is academic updating. We offer a modified clinical practicum to update
instrumentation skills.

Enrollment Process: To enroll in the MLT program, applicants must be accepted
into the program. A special application process is in place to ensure eligibility
requirements are met for acceptance into the program. “Fast track” students must
have completed all support or general education courses in the curriculum to be
eligible in the “fast track” program.
Retraining or refresher course options: Yes. To enroll in a course for review,
retraining or personal advancement the program director must sign off and waive
eligibility requirements for the course. Courses can be taken for credit or audit
purposes.

 All on-campus courses have a component of WebCT or web-assisted
instruction.
 Rotation courses are on-line in order to make it easier for the clinical sites to
assess students. The evaluations and tests are all taken on-line from the
remote site. The clinical rotations cannot be taken until the on-campus
course work is finished.
Total Length of program: 3 on-campus semester (spring, summer, fall) plus 19
weeks of clinical rotations at laboratories around the state.
