To measure Body Mass Index (BMI) you need to measure height and weight accurately, try to get weight
in the morning and use the same scale and measure your height without shoes. Use any BMI monogram
or calculator available in books, on-line and apps.

Instructions to follow when getting weight:
1. Weight yourself at the same time of the day, mornings is the best time because the body tend to retain
water during the day and weight fluctuates.
2. Get weight once a week or every 3 days but not every day, unless you take the average at the end of
the week as the weekly figure.
3. Always get weight with same amount of cloths.
4. Use the same scale in order to make comparisons. Different scales can give you different numbers
and you want to know the real differences in your weight.

*To measure waist circumference (WC), you need a measuring tape. Place the measuring tape around the waist
area, at iliac crest level or slightly below the belly bottom. Make sure that the measuring take is not
compressing into the skin but is rather touching and is parallel to the floor. Use the measure number that is at
the end of the tape. Waist circumference refers to abdominal fat and high WC (male >40, female >35) put you
in higher risk to develop High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, and Coronary Heart Diseases.
