Thursday, November 9th

you define who you are as a performing songwriter and define your audience as well. Learn how to be your own best friend as
a songwriter with songs that truly express what you’re trying to say!

Home Recording Boot Camp with Ronan Chris Murphy – Elysian Park Room. Ronan Chris Murphy shares tips
and tricks to help improve your recordings. Learn approaches to recording that are used in high-end studios that can make
dramatic improvements in your own home recordings. The workshop will end with a Q&A session.

Singer Troubleshooting Q&A with Lis Lewis – Hancock Park Room. As a lead singer, you have very specific
problems and concerns. No one else in the band, none of your business associates, not even your producer can really help you.
Who can? Other singers of course. We will talk about all kinds of vocal problems such as pitch, range, volume, tone, strength
and endurance, but also about stage fright, recording studio issues, band problems, charisma, auditioning, in ear monitors,
fronting a band, choosing the right style, comping vocal tracks and much more. Come with questions and leave with answers.


sound as polished as the big dogs? If you’ve been asking yourself these questions, this class is for you. It emphasizes the
back-end mixing and mastering part of the recording process (as opposed to initial recording and overdubbing). Learn

Writing/Rewriting: There Is a Difference with Steve Seskin – Franklin Hills Room. Writing can more easily
come from that dreamy/stream of consciousness place. Rewriting is in many ways, is a lot more tedious. Steve will teach you
ALL types of rewriting, including re-writing to improve content and tone. He'll also teach you how to know when your song is



the way) and techniques of song structure and dynamics have characterized radio hits and just plain great songs of all
