Brief Bid notification

Sealed bids in two parts are invited from qualified bidders for Rewiring and electrification of
power house canteen building of Varahi Under Ground Power House, Hosangadi,
Kundapur Tq, Udupi Dist.
1. SCOPE OF WORKS :
Rewiring and electrification of power house canteen building of Varahi Under Ground
Power House, Hosangadi, Kundapur Tq, Udupi Dist. Scope of work given is only
indicative. Detailed scope has been described in Bid documents, which is binding on all
the bidders.
2. APPROXIMATE COST PUT TO TENDER :
The approximate cost put to the tender is Rs.192416.00
3. EARNEST MONEY DEPOSIT:
EMD of Rs.4810/- (Rupees Four thousand Eight hundred and Ten only) shall be
furnished in the form of crossed DD favoring Asst. General Manager (Finance)
Hosangadi, payable at Corporation bank Hosangadi-576282, along with Part - I as
stipulated in the bid documents.
4. MINIMUM QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS:
The intending bidder shall produce documentary evidences in respect of the following for
fulfillment of prequalification requirements.
a. The bidder should be Class 1 Electrical Contractor who has carried out similar
works in any Industry / Shopping complex / housing complex. In proof bidder has to
produce a copy of valid license issued by the Electrical Inspectorate, Govt. of
Karnataka.
b. The intending bidder shall produce work order copies or performance certificate for
having carried out similar works in at least two utilities in India.
c. The bidder should have an average annual turnover of at least Rs. 4.00 lakhs
during any two financial years in the preceding five financial years.
In proof of this, shall furnish turn over certificate or annual report duly certified by
chartered accountant.
d. The bidder shall have Independent PF code, PAN No, VAT No/Service tax
registration certificates and in proof shall furnish copies of PF registration, PAN No.
copies, VAT/Service Tax registration certificates.
5. VALIDITY OF OFFER:
The offer shall be valid for 90 days from the last date fixed of opening of the bid.

6. COST OF BID DOCUMENT:
The Bid Document will be issued on payment of Rs.106/- (inclusive of VAT@5.5%) in
the form of crossed DD favoring Asst. General Manager (Finance) Hosangadi, payable
at Corporation bank Hosangadi-576282. The Bid document can be had in person. In
case the bidder wishes to send the documents by Post/ Courier an amount of Rs.100/shall be paid extra along with the cost of the bid documents.

After opening & evaluation of technical and prequalification bid, (Part-I), “Bidders
whose offers meet the prequalification requirement and technical specification of
the tender/bid will be accepted and only such bidders price bid (Part - II) will be
opened".
9. Corporation reserves the right to verify the information/document furnished in respect of
the supplies made and works carried out by the bidder, shall the circumstance so
warrant in the overall interest of the Corporation, if the Corporation on detailed
verification/investigation finds the bidder not satisfying the qualification requirements,
the bid will be rejected.
10. Superintending Engineer (Elecl.) Varahi reserves the right to accept or reject any
or all bids without assigning any reasons thereof.
11. COMPLETION PERIOD:
Completion period shall be 6 Weeks from the date of LOA/Detailed order whichever is
earlier subject to handing over of site.

The Bids will be opened at the office of Superintending Engineer (Elecl.) Varahi,
Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd, Hosangadi- 576 282 Udupi District, Karnataka
State, India.
13. Those bidders whose contracts have been terminated/foreclosed by the corporation or
whose performance has not been satisfactory while executing the contracts of
Corporation during the last 10(ten) years are not eligible to participate in the bid.
14. Corporation shall not be responsible for postal/courier delays and for the
damaged/mutilated documents.

15. Part & incomplete bids, telegraphic bids, e-mail bids, bids not accompanied with EMD
& belated bids shall not be accepted.
16. The bidders shall quote in Indian Rupees only.
17. The completed bid documents shall be delivered to the address given below in sealed
envelopes Superscribed with Bid Notification No….....Date… and with the title
“Rewiring and electrification of power house canteen building of Varahi Under Ground
Power House, Kundapur Tq, Udupi Dist”.
