Instructions for the Reflection Papers Every week, each group is required to provide a brief paper, a “project report”, presenting the state of the group’s progress. The reflection paper should be handed in via GUL on Wednesdays. The idea of the reflection paper is to both capture your reflections and learning and to simulate a status report common in projects. Therefore your paper should give brief accounts under the following headings: Performed Activities related to the PM course (such as meetings, texts read, steps towards the final report, etc. - this could be structured as a matrix with a column for each individual, alternatively, a heading for each individual) Achievements and reflections, important learning, concepts, experiences etc. How have your understanding of project management increased? Outstanding Issues and Tasks Questions raised with regard to how projects are managed, issues that need to be clarified etc. and planned activities not yet performed? Process experiences, what can be done to make your learning and your group’s work more efficient and rewarding? We also would like each weekly reflection paper to end with headings: Suggestions for one question for the exam It is important to note that your group reflection paper should not only be a simple summary of what you have read or done (except for under the first heading). Instead, under the headings Achievements focus on your joint reactions and analysis of the literature, lecture and other relevant experiences. The main purpose of the group reflection papers is to be a learning tool. This means that your reflection papers can be helpful when you are trying to learn project management concepts and explore ideas that may not normally be covered in the scope of a lecture. Furthermore, a reflection paper allows group members to critically analyse their own work within the assigned projects and share their knowledge. Last but not least, your group reflection papers are a step forward in preparation for your exam.
