RICHARD WATKINS
Since 1991 Richard has operated his own education and
consulting firm, which specialises in the understanding and
implementation of Integrated Enterprise Planning. As such he
has helped many companies including Cray Valley (part of the
Total Group), GlaxoSmithKline, British Nuclear Fuels Limited,
GEC Marine-VSEL, Sandoz Pharmacuticals, Van Leer
Metallizing, Cooper Bussmann, Rizla Ltd., Aventis, Quest
International, and Levi Strauss EMEA. All of these companies
have made significant gains in improving profitability and
customer service through the implementation of the concepts
supporting Integrated Enterprise Planning. In this he was
associated with Mike Salmon’s Manufacturing Resource
Planning Limited from 1990-1998, and with Oliver Wight associates from 1998-2002. All of
this was achieved through a mixture of Education and Consulting.
Richard Watkins’ experience with Business Excellence in manufacturing industries started in
1986, when the ICI Agrochemicals’ Business (now Syngenta) started the first global
implementation of an Integrated Supply Chain planning system. Richard was a member of the
core Project Team that radically transformed the way the business operated, leading the
Forecasting and Demand Management Task Force. This highly successful project led to a 20
% plus reduction in inventory, and service levels in excess of 95 % worldwide. All of this
involved implementing a new way of forecasting and planning across the whole division
around the world, which Richard led. This included the development of a global Integrated
Enterprise Planning process, which enabled a monthly financial review of the business, and a
long term strategic decision-making process. Richard joined the Project Team from the
Product Management group, responsible for the development and marketing of new products
into the Public Health and Agrochemical markets.
Prior to joining ICI, Richard had gained an MBA from the London Business School,; before
this he had worked for Tube Investments Ltd, who manufactured Steel Tubes for the
automotive, sports goods, nuclear and food processing industries. He gained his first degree
in PPE from Oxford.

ROD CLARKE
Rod Clarke provides guidance, advice and support to
businesses in successfully applying IS/IT in support of their
business goals. He brings a pragmatic and business focused
approach to the development of IS/IT strategy and the
evaluation, selection, implementation and exploitation of
information systems that underpin World Class performance.
Rod created his own independent consultancy company
(Rickinghall Executive Consulting Limited) in 1999 and his
clients include a global life science company, an MOD agency,
a major consumer products company, a global IS & Strategy
consultancy company and a major manufacturing software package vendor.
Rod has worked in supply chain management and IS/IT since the mid-1980’s. In this time he
has held senior management, project leadership and operational management roles in the
three of the world’s largest chemical and pharmaceutical companies.
Rod was a key player in the ICI Agrochemicals International MRPII Project and then led the
achievement of Class A in 1989. Subsequently, he had a leadership role in all the continuing
business and system improvements within ICI (and then Zeneca) Agrochemicals in the UK,
North America (where he spent three years) and globally.
In the late 1990’s. Rod was Chief Information Officer for Glaxo Wellcome’s Worldwide
Manufacturing & Supply organisation. During this time he led the move to a single integrated
application package (SAP R/3) for all manufacturing sites worldwide, as well as being
executive sponsor of the global MRPII programme.
Rod is a Chartered Secretary by profession and also a member of the Institute of Operations
Management and the Institute of Management Consultants. He speaks at many events in the
UK and worldwide on IS issues, supply chain trends and change management.

GORDON HAMMOND
Gordon Hammond has strong supply chain and client
relationship management skills that have been developed both
within industry as a manager,and as a change agent and
educator working in a variety of blue chip companies.
Prior to joining The Delos Partnership he worked for MML
between 1994 and 2002. During this time, before the
management buy out from ICL, he was Head of Division
during which time he returned MML to profit and raised
turnover by 500%. In addition he expanded the company’s
services to include consultancy as well as additional courses.
He built the reputation of the business to focus upon delivering
business benefits for clients and worked with a variety of companies in this time including
BAE SYSTEMS, Caterpillar, Lawson Mardon, Rolls Royce and Westland Helicopters. From
1990 to 1993 he was an associate of Mike Salmon’s MRP Ltd.
Before joining MRP Ltd, Gordon worked for Cincom Systems’ Manufacturing Systems
Division as Consultancy Manager for a period of ten years. His role included profit and loss
responsibility for pre and post-sales support team. The proactive approach taken was to
ensure that Cincom’s clients implemented their business solution in an effective way so that
they achieved business benefits.
Clients included Rosyth Royal Dockyards, Birds Eye Walls, Dowty Aerospace, ICI
Agrochemicals, ICI Pharmaceuticals, Marley. MEL, Smith & Nephew, Thorn EMI Electronics
(Radar, Computer Systems and Defence Divisions) and Vickers Systems
Pre Cincom he worked in variety of supply chain management roles. At Chesebrough-Ponds
Gordon was responsible for Sales Order Accounts as well as being Inventory & Planning
Manager. He project managed the company’s MRPII implementation which delivered
increased staff productivity as well as significant customer service and stock turn
improvements. Whilst at Rediffusion he managed a team of personnel that worked with the
operating companies to deliver business solutions designed to increase both profitability and
productivity. Projects ranged from subscriber payment methods, supply chain solutions for
improved customer service and reduced stock holding. In addition he was responsible for the
set up of all processes and procedures for an electrical discount warehouse chain selling
goods direct to the public. At L R Industries he specialised in stock management and the
distribution of products from manufacturing to distribution.
On leaving college his first appointment was at Tesco Stores as a Work Study Officer where
he worked on a variety of projects designed to improve productivity and performance.
Projects included store pricing, meat preparation rooms and the centralisation of wines and
spirits.
Gordon is a Fellow of The Institute of Operations Management and currently tutors on two of
their public course programmes. He was Chairman of the Institute for two years. He holds a
degree in Industrial Engineering.

MIKE STRADLING
Mike Stradling has 20 years experience in supply chain
strategy, planning and operations, working with leading Blue
Chip Companies as well as Small Medium Enterprises. Mike
has worked in a mixture of consultancy and well as line of
business roles within a variety of supply chain functions
including, Production, Purchasing, Logistics and IT.
Mike runs his own independent consultancy providing
guidance in the areas of supply chain management,
programme management and organisational change
management. Prior to this he held positions with Rank Hovis
McDougal, Specialised Laboratory Equipment, GlaxoSmithkline and CapGemini Ernst and
Young.
During the 80’s, Mike built up operations management experience in both FMCG and
Pharmaceutical production management positions, implementing JIT and continuous
improvement techniques. He also starting project managing several major TQM and BS5750
part 1 /ISO900 initiatives.
In the 1990s, as a Supply Chain Manager, Mike led a variety of supply chain improvement
projects, achieving lead time and inventory reductions of up to 60% while securing improved
levels of service and supply flexibility. In addition, Mike took an MBA at the Cardiff Business
School and specialiased in supply chain management with the Lean Enterprise Research
Unit.
Recent work has included working with a leading pharmaceutical company to manage the
organisational change of a global supply chain re-engineering project leading the business
from the current to the future state and applying appropriate change management tools and
techniques to accelerate and secure achievement of benefits.

PAUL WARRICK
Paul Warrick has substantial Strategic Procurement and
Global Sourcing expertise and a career track record of
delivering outstanding net total value and improvement results.
His senior corporate career has included roles as Global
Purchasing Manager for ICI PLC and Sourcing Director for
Crown Cork & Seal, each having spend budgets in excess of
€2bn. Prior to Crown Cork and Seal, Paul held Procurement
managerial positions with two other multimillion € companies Georgia-Pacific and Borden Chemical. Experience gained by
working for these four companies have given Paul an
outstanding knowledge of Chemicals, Packaging, Paper, Coatings, Adhesives and Metals
industries.
Paul also has extensive knowledge of Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology markets having
spent the last year working as Global Procurement Strategy Manager for a major Swiss Life
Sciences and Chemicals company. Other important interim roles have included Director of eBusiness strategy for a company closely aligned to the UK Chemicals Industry Association.
Paul has a chemistry & polymer science degree, is Six Sigma and World Class Manufacturing
trained and has worked with most of the big five consultants. He has provided Procurement
support and advice to many clients including one of Europe’s leading DIY companies and
prior to joining Delos has held numerous procurement training masterclasses for S.M.E.’s
through the British Chamber of Commerce.

GILLES LAUGA
Since 1989 Gilles Lauga has been running his own education
and consulting firm, specialising in integrating all aspects of his
client's enterprise. He has also helped many companies to be
more effective, by balancing their efforts between lean and
planning and control. His clients include ICI Agrochemicals,
Astra-Zeneca, Salomon (part of the Addidas group), Legrand,
Snecma Moteurs, Diamant-Boart, Arnould, De Dietrich
Process Systems, Rosenmund, Snecma Propulsion Solide,
Flowserve, Eldon. They all achieved great progress, especially
in customer service and productivity. Many among them were
recognised as reference sites among their peers. Gilles
Lauga's experience with Excellence in Industrial Business
started in 1980 when he joined the American group Norton (now part of Saint Gobain) in the
Luxembourg based Construction Product Division. In 1989 he took responsibility for the 'High
Velocity Manufacturing' project. This project merged Planning and Control aspects with
Continuous Improvement and Integrated Enterprise Management. This project achieved
Class A rating confirmed by outside audits two successive years and the business received
the Norton Chairman's yearly award for it's project's exceptional results.
Through previous investments and this project, manufacturing cycles were reduced from
three months to less than three days. During the same period cost decreased and quality
improved driving to major market share development. Before joining The Delos Partnership,
Gilles Lauga spent ten years as an Oliver Wight Associate. All the above assignments were
conducted through consulting and education mostly delivered through his company Gilles
Lauga Conseil SARL. He helped companies gain experience in capturing and deploying
Voice Of Customer for Strategy and for product development. He guided companies through
'Lean Programs' and conventional Continuous improvement. He guided clients in their
Integrated Enterprise Planning process. He has worked in a wide variety of environments:
chemical process, pharmacy, watchmaking, sport goods, heavy industrial equipments,
airspace and defence. He helped the integration of development and manufacturing in heavy
equipment and defence environments, enabling his clients to outrun competitors. Gilles Lauga
consults and teaches in French, Spanish and English.

PHILLIPPE CRAPART
Prior to joining The Delos Partnership, Phillippe decided in 2003
to run his own education, coaching and consulting firm, based
on his 25 years experience in managing industrial businesses, in
France and Europe.
Philippe Crapart's experience in industrial excellence started in
the early 90's : He was the CEO of DIAMANT BOART's French
subsidiary, a Belgium-based industrial group, where he
managed successfully a project merging planning & control, lean
manufacturing and delegated leadership.
Since the late 90's he successively held Senior General Management positions within the
European Business Unit for the Construction Division of DIAMANT BOART, Equipment rental
Division and Continental Europe Steel Divisions of BRAMBLES, an Australian worldwide
leader in providing industrial services. He managed the development and execution of the
Strategic Plans for these businesses, and implemented successfully innovative policies in
Customer Relationship Management, Marketing, and New Product development.
Philippe Crapart's ambition is to make his customers benefit from his experience in change
management. He specialises in the skils of individual coaching and team building to develop
faster solutions to strategic management issues.
Philippe gained an MBA at ESSEC (French 2nd business school), and a degree in Business
law from the French University Paris X. He has been trained as a coach by Mediat-Coaching
