Question – What is the AIR MILES offer?
Starting June 1, 2007, Group members/employees who are AIR MILES® Collectors can earn 1 AIR
MILE reward mile for every $20 in premium paid (including PS Benefits, Auto Club, and taxes) on a
regular market home or auto insurance policy through Johnson Inc. and underwritten by Unifund
Assurance Company.
All AIR MILES offers are subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Program and may be changed or
withdrawn without notice. AIR MILES reward miles are not awarded on Facility or Residual Market
insurance policies. Johnson Inc. offers the AIR MILES Reward Program for auto and home insurance in
AB, ON, NB, NS, NL and PEI, and for home insurance in BC. For more details about this AIR MILES
offer, please visit www.johnson.ca/airmiles.
Question- What is the AIR MILES Program?
AIR MILES is a frequent shopper program that allows AIR MILES Collectors to earn travel, leisure,
entertainment and other lifestyle rewards quickly, simply by doing their everyday shopping for products
and services at more than 100 brand-name Sponsors across the country. AIR MILES reward miles can be
redeemed for more than 800 different rewards such as movie passes, family attractions, CDs and DVDs,
electronic merchandise, sports and recreation, travel and more. So AIR MILES Collectors can spend their
money on the things they need to get the things they want. You’ll be redeeming your reward miles sooner
than you think.
Question – Who is eligible to receive AIR MILES reward miles?
Your Group members/employees who have a home or auto insurance policy through Johnson Inc., or one
of its brands that is underwritten by Unifund Assurance Company are eligible to receive AIR MILES
reward miles on their insurance premium.
The offer of AIR MILES reward miles is not available on Facility or Residual Market insurance policies.
Johnson Inc. offers the AIR MILES Reward Program for auto and home insurance in AB, ON, NB, NS,
NL, and PEI, and for home insurance in BC.
Question –Do Group members/employees have to purchase a 12-month home or auto insurance
policy in order to qualify for AIR MILES reward miles?
All Unifund regular market policies are issued for 12-month periods and are eligible for AIR MILES
reward miles. Reward miles will be issued based on the payment plan chosen for the policy (ie: AIR
MILES reward miles for payroll deduction payments may take 75 days to appear on an AIR MILES
statement. Reward miles for other payment options should appear within 45 days).
Question – Will Group members/employees get charged higher premiums or fees for receiving
AIR MILES reward miles on policies?
No. The prices or fees charged to AIR MILES Collectors are identical to the prices charged to any other
Group member/employee who is a policyholder. Johnson is participating in the AIR MILES Program to
say "Thank You" to their policyholders for their continued loyalty.
Question – Is Johnson offering bonus AIR MILES reward miles?
There are no bonus offers from Johnson available at this time.
Question – What happens if a Group member/employee changes their home or auto insurance
policy?
Changes in policies may cause an adjustment in premium payment. Changes in policies that create a
debit or credit will be reflected within 45 to 75 days in their AIR MILES account, but there will be no
withdrawal of any AIR MILES reward miles already awarded.
Question – What if a Group member/employee cancels their home or auto insurance policy?
Once a policy is cancelled, AIR MILES reward miles will no longer be awarded on that policy, but there
will be no withdrawal of any reward miles already awarded.
Question – What happens if a Group member/employee does not receive their AIR MILES reward
miles after purchasing from Johnson?
If a Group member/employee does not receive their AIR MILES reward miles within 45 to 75 days of
their purchase, they should contact Johnson at 1-866-483-8811, and the status of their account will be
investigated.
Question – A Group member/employee noticed that their AIR MILES Collector Number does not
appear on their policy information even though they entered the number when they purchased the
policy. Are they still collecting reward miles?
If a member/employee is uncertain as to whether their Collector Number has been applied to their policy,
they should contact Johnson at 1-866-483-8811, e-mail airmiles@johnson.ca, or check the Members Only
website at www.johnson.ca. If an AIR MILES Collector Number was entered at the time of purchase for
the insurance policy, then they will receive their AIR MILES reward miles.
Question – Can a Group member/employee put more than one AIR MILES Collector Number on
one policy?
No. Only one AIR MILES Collector Number can be awarded reward miles for any one policy.
Question – Can an AIR MILES Collector Number be added to a policy after the policy is
purchased?
Yes. An AIR MILES Collector Number can be added after a policy comes into effect. A Group
member/employee who is a policyholder can add an AIR MILES Collector Number, via Johnson’s
Members Only website at www.johnson.ca, by calling 1-866-483-8811, or by e-mail at
airmiles@johnson.ca. AIR MILES reward miles are earned at point of payment and posted to a
Collector’s AIR MILES account. Reward miles for payroll deduction payments may take 75 days to
appear on an AIR MILES statement, reward miles for other payment options should appear within 45
days.
Question – Can a Group member/employee change the AIR MILES Collector Number on a policy
after the policy is purchased?
Yes, on a go forward basis a Group member/employee can change their AIR MILES® Collector Number
after the policy is purchased. This can be done through the Members Only website at www.johnson.ca,
by calling 1-866-483-8811, or by e-mail at airmiles@johnson.ca.
Question – Many of our Group members/employees have already purchased insurance through
Johnson, are they eligible to collect AIR MILES reward miles?
Yes, they can collect AIR MILES reward miles once they provide their AIR MILES Collector Number.
The AIR MILES Collector Number can be added after a policy comes into effect. An AIR MILES
Collector Number can be added to a policy, via Johnson’s Members Only website at www.johnson.ca, by
calling 1-866-483-8811, or by e-mail at airmiles@johnson.ca. AIR MILES reward miles are earned at

Question – Are AIR MILES reward miles available retroactively?
No, AIR MILES reward miles are only available on a go-forward basis on the member/employee’s next
premium payment after they provide their AIR MILES Collector number to us.
Question – Can a Group member/employee get AIR MILES reward miles without showing their
AIR MILES Card?
Yes, they can do this by providing Johnson with their Collector Number over the phone at 1-866-4838811, by submitting their Collector Number to Johnson via the Members Only website at
www.johnson.ca, or by e-mail at airmiles@johnson.ca.
Question – Whose Collector Card can be provided to Johnson to earn AIR MILES?
The AIR MILES Collector who is the named insured or his/her spouse can earn AIR MILES reward miles
from their Unifund policy.
Question – What happens if a Group member/employee forgot their AIR MILES Card and do not
know their Collector Number?
If the member/employee is unable to provide their AIR MILES Card or Collector Number during the
transaction, they can add the number on a go forward basis by going to Johnson’s Members Only website
at www.johnson.ca, by calling Johnson at 1-866-483-8811, or by e-mail at airmiles@johnson.ca.

Question – How is Johnson communicating this new offer to Group members/employees?
Members/employees will receive the AIR MILES message through various communications. As soon as
the program launches on June 1, 2007, members/employees who request a quote will be advised about the
offer at the time of quoting and members/employees who currently have insurance through Johnson will
be advised upon renewal. For Groups with newsletters, Johnson can also provide an article for newsletter
publication concerning the AIR MILES offer. As Johnson rolls-out the AIR MILES offer, there will be
other marketing/communications initiatives undertaken to advise your members/employees about this
new initiative.
Question – Are your representatives still asking callers whether they are a member of a Sponsored
Group?
Yes, one of the first things our representatives ask callers is whether they are a member of a Sponsored
Group. If a Sponsored Group cannot be identified for a caller, then the caller will be asked whether or not
they have an AIR MILES card. In situations where a caller is both a member of a Sponsored Group and
an AIR MILES Collector, the Sponsor Group affiliation will always prevail and they will also be eligible
for AIR MILES reward miles.
Question – What are the benefits of being a member of a Sponsored Group?
Being a member of a Sponsored Group has many benefits. In addition to collecting AIR MILES reward
miles, Group Members may be eligible to receive special discounts or services that have been negotiated
on their behalf.
Question – How many agents/agencies are included in the AIR MILES Reward Program at
Johnson?
Johnson is a national organization with more than 60 branches from St. John’s, Newfoundland and
Labrador to Langley, British Columbia. Starting June 1, 2007, AIR MILES reward miles may be
collected by policyholders using any Johnson location. As part of its extensive branch network, Johnson
operates under a number of trade names across Canada including: Morgex Insurance, Community Savings
Insurance, Servus Insurance Services, Johnson-Shillington Insurance, Johnson-Ambassador Insurance,
Johnson-Billyard Insurance, WSG Insurance Services, Fraser & Hoyt – Home and Auto, and Fraser &
Hoyt – Group Edge – AIR MILES reward miles can be earned though Johnson operating under any of
these trade names.
Question – Will the AIR MILES Reward Program be selling the information you collect about
Johnson and our members/employees who are policyholders?
The AIR MILES Reward Program does not give, rent or sell Collector lists from the AIR MILES Reward
Program to any organization or individual other than business units of the AIR MILES Reward Program,
Sponsors of the AIR MILES Reward Program, and companies contracted to process and manage
Collector transactions, redemption requests and communications.
Question – How will the AIR MILES Reward Program use the personal information of Group
members/employees who are AIR MILES Collectors?
AIR MILES collects personal information for three primary purposes: to ensure the proper functioning of
the AIR MILES Reward Program; to meet direct marketing, product development and research
requirements of the AIR MILES Reward Program and its participating Sponsors; and to improve the
promotional offers and services of the AIR MILES Reward Program and its participating Sponsors.
Collectors can opt-out of receiving marketing and promotional communications in electronic, printed or
verbal format, other than AIR MILES Collector Summaries by writing to AIR MILES Customer Service,
P.O. Box 602 Station A, Scarborough, Ontario, M1K 5K7 or by email to privacy office@airmiles.ca. The
decision to opt-out does not affect the Collector’s ability to collect or redeem reward miles in the AIR
MILES Reward Program.
Question – Some of our Group members/employees think they may have had an AIR MILES
Card once, but can’t find it now. What should they do?
If a member/employee thinks they may already have an AIR MILES Collector Account, they can call the
AIR MILES Customer Care Centre at 1-888-AIR-MILE (888-247-6453) for their Collector Number. If
the AIR MILES agent cannot locate an existing account for the member/employee, they would be pleased
to enrol the member/employee into a new account.
Question— Some of our Group members/employees do not have an AIR MILES card, what should
they do?
If your members/employees are interested in collecting AIR MILES reward miles, they can enroll in the
AIR MILES Rewards Program by calling 1-888-AIR-MILE (888-247-6453) or by visiting
www.airmiles.ca and following the instructions on how to enroll on-line.
Question – Where do our members/employees go if they have questions about their AIR MILES
account?
If members/employees have questions about their AIR MILES account, they can visit www.airmiles.ca
for information, or they can call the AIR MILES Customer Care Centre at 1-888-AIR-MILE (888-2476453).
