This committee brings outside vendors to Sloan to provide after school programs for our students. Lab
Ratz Science Club offers a hands-on approach to exploring all major fields of science, with an emphasis
on creativity and individual discovery. Snapology offers students the opportunity to explore technology,
engineering, mathematics, and animation as they design and build creations using Lego bricks. In
addition, Little Linguists may return for another year of providing foreign language instruction. This
committee also recruits parent volunteers to monitor and assist with the classes, as necessary.

This committee coordinates and hosts the Scholastic Book Fair, held in the fall and spring. Volunteers
are needed during set-up, sale days and clean-up. The Book Fair runs during school hours in the fall and
spring, as well as during Open House evenings in the fall.
Box Tops For Education

The Chairperson coordinates the school-wide collection of Box Tops from product brands, such as
General Mills, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Huggies, Ziploc, Scott, Hefty, etc. to generate cash rebates for
Sloan. Volunteers may assist the Chairperson with the classroom contest and tallying of box tops.
