Prior to that he worked in research for the construction industry in the area of business process and information management. David has extensive experience working with both the public and private sector assisting and guiding them in organisational change, re-engineering, re-design and modelling. He brings a wealth of expertise in understanding how organisational cultures as well as the rational forces drive the change process. David has considerable experience working at the interface between State and Local Government and has a sound understanding of how the public sector works. Most of his recent work has focused on building sound investment logic and robust business cases for major public infrastructure, technology services, transformation programs and community development. Facilitator Profile David has been running investment logic mapping sessions since 2008. He has developed a strong body of experience around capital investment as well as service and organisational transformation. During the last two year David has worked on over twelve major capital investment High Value, High Risk (HVHR) projects (generally projects over $100m). In most case David went on to develop the Strategic Assessment and in five case he worked with the agency in developing the Preliminary Business Case. In addition he has worked on over fifteen service or organisational transformation programs. There is seldom a project David is involved in, in which he does not apply the ILM framework to help solve the situation. As a result David has developed an intimate feel for the value of the Investment Management framework and the way it works. He uses it extensively in the analysis of messy, complex situation leveraging its ability to assist organisations separate truth from the institutional myths.
