Introduction: Students are going to have the opportunity to create their own version of one act from Romeo and Juliet’s book using a comic strip format. They have already read the book, so they know the story and its characters. Now, they have to use their creativity and the web sources in order to accomplish the task. Task: The students have to reflect their knowledge about the book’s main theme in a comic strip, by using the vocabulary related to the story they read, and also represent the characters of the book through images and dialogues. Creativity is going to be the key for a successful result. Process: In order to complete the process, the learners will need to work together as a team. 1. Get in groups of 3-4 people. 2. Choose one act from Romeo and Juliet’s book. 3. The students have to brainstorm with ideas (images, vocabulary, characters and sequence) for the comic strip. 4. The students check all of the given resources to start creating the sequence of scenes. 5. Students have to decide which characters are going to be in the comic strip. 6. Students have to write the dialogues that are going to be used in the comic strip. 7. Students have to connect characters with their corresponding dialogues in the sequences of scenes 8. Conclusion: The main idea of this task is to help students to reinforce their knowledge on Romeo and Juliet story. Also, the use of the WebQuest aims to promote the use of technology and different web sources that will help students to create a comic strip based on a specific story. By the end of this task learners will be able to explore the web and their creativity to create a comic strip. Tarea 2 Fundamente las decisiones que tomó al planificar las clases antes mencionadas considerando referentes didácticos y de contexto. La planificación de esta clase se basó en la necesidad que pude observar en los estudiantes de utilizar las tecnologías mezcladas con el idioma inglés y en este caso en específico con la lectura. Dentro del contexto podemos encontrar que los alumnos se sienten fuertemente relacionados con lo que se denomina como formas de expresar la realidad y alterarla de una forma divertida y simple, en este caso en particular se recurrió al comic como una forma de instalar a los estudiantes en un plano que ellos conocen de cerca y que pueden manejar con facilidad. Para esto se trabajó con una herramienta tecnológica de gran ayuda como es una “webquest” en la cual la idea principal es entregar a los estudiantes las herramientas necesarias para elaborar su propio conocimiento a partir de la exploración de recursos de internet. Esta webquest en particular se relacionaba con la literatura y fue creada específicamente para esta actividad (secondgradersread.weebly.com). Tarea 3 Reflexione en torno al proceso que siguió para planificar las clases, indicando fortalezas, debilidades y desafíos. Disfruté mucho elaborando esta clase, tomo bastante tiempo el crear el sitio web con las instrucciones para la actividad, pero al mismo tiempo aprendí a cómo utilizar esta herramienta. Me dio mucho gusto darme cuenta que el objetivo de la actividad se cumplió así como también mis expectativas, ya que al momento de evaluar los trabajos estos si mostraban la dedicación que los alumnos se tomaron en completarlo. El desafío mayo de esta actividad era lograr que los alumnos se motivaran a través de la idea de crear un comic y fuesen capaces de alcanzar el objetivo lingüístico de esta actividad, el cual era netamente que los alumnos escribir a partir de sus ideas y vocabulario los diálogos que formaban parte de este comic.
