On joint motion of all Councilmembers present, the following resolution was offered:
RESOLUTION NO. 115368
A resolution ratifying an agreement with Perez, APC for providing professional architectural and engineering services related to building renovations and additions to an existing building for the development of a new Head Start facility to be located at 1821 Jutland Drive, Harvey, LA, for the
Department of Jefferson Community Action Programs and at a cost of $198,300.00, with this cost not to be exceeded by a factor of more than ten (10) percent without an amendment to the contract authorized by resolution of the council.

WHEREAS , on August 18, 2010 by virtue of Resolution No. 114996, the
Jefferson Parish Council selected the firm of Perez, APC to provide professional architectural and engineering services for renovations and additions to the Jutland Head
Start Facility; and
WHEREAS, the scope of work will consist of a building addition of similar metal building structure to accommodate classroom additions and a building renovation of existing space around the kitchen, pantry and cafeteria area; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Capital Projects has negotiated a basic lump sum fee of $128,300.00 and a not to exceed supplemental fee of $70,000, for a total not to exceed contract fee of $198,300.00; and
WHEREAS , the project is receiving Federal Funding thru the Department of
Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families as administered by the Head Start Program; and
WHEREAS, Perez, APC is authorized to provide these services with support from All South Consulting Engineers, Inc., JBA Consulting, Professional Services
Industries, Inc., Gandolfo Kuhn, LLC., and Morphy Makofsky, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED , by the Jefferson Parish Council of
Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, acting as governing authority of said Parish:
SECTION 1 . That the Council does hereby ratify the terms of the agreement with
Perez, APC for providing professional architectural and engineering services related to building renovations and additions to an existing building for the development of a new
Head Start facility to be located at 1821 Jutland Drive, Harvey, LA, for the Department of Jefferson Community Action Programs and at a cost of $198,300.00.
SECTION 2 . That the fees paid under this agreement shall be charged to account number 21020-1010-214-7331(10201.013).
SECTION 3.
That the fixed amount of compensation stated in the contract shall not be exceeded by a factor of more than ten (10) percent without an amendment to the contract authorized by resolution of the council.
SECTION 4.
That Perez, APC is authorized to provide these services with support from All South Consulting Engineers, Inc., JBA Consulting, Professional
Services Industries, Inc., Gandolfo Kuhn, LLC, and Morphy Makofsky, Inc.
SECTION 5 . That the Chairman of the Jefferson Parish Council, or in his absence the Vice-Chairman, be and is authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to give full force and effect to this resolution.
The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
