Course Description: An advanced statistics course in applied linear and multiple regression analysis, including polynomial regression, indicator variables, and covariance analysis, model selection and validation, methods for measurement errors, diagnostic methods for outliers, influence, and multicollinearity, nonlinear regression, logistic regression with non-normal distributions, correlations, and time-series analysis and forecasting as utilized in health services administration, research and policy analysis Course Objectives Upon completion of the course, one will be able to: 1. Demonstrate mastery of essential concepts in regression models and their implementation. 2. Describe the elements of regression analysis and model building. 3. Differentiate between linear and nonlinear regression. 4. Perform time-series analysis and forecasting. 5. Build a facility for deciding which regression models are applicable in various situations in health services management, policy and research. 6.
