BACKGROUND INFORMATION
On August 5, 2009, the State of Florida noticed as “surplus” property currently being used by the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, which is consolidating its statewide facilities. The property consists of more than 500 acres and 60 structures. The FGCU
Board of Trustees, at its meeting on January 19, 2010, approved acceptance of this parcel via transfer of title of the ground lease by the Board of Trustees of the Internal
Improvement Trust Fund. The transfer has not yet taken place. FGCU’s potential plans for the site are further described in the attached materials.
