School & Position Description:
Preclarus Mastery Academy is a new St. Louis charter school with a “No Excuses” school culture and a
“High Honors” educational program. We are currently serving 140 fifth, sixth and seventh graders.
Preclarus desires to offer our students an AP intensive high school program, Algebra by 8 th grade,
Latin in middle school, post-secondary academic and social support, a supportive school community,
uncompromising expectations, and one of the most challenging academic programs in the region. We are
currently seeking motivated and passionate staff and faculty members with entrepreneurial spirits who want
to see their ideas become a reality and their labor produce results.
We are currently looking for a Temporary Marketing & Recruitment Coordinator to work flexible
hours (averaging 25 to 30 hours per week) to assist the Executive Director with Student Recruitment, Media
Management, and Advertisement. This is a temporary position with an anticipated employment period from
February 15th to June 15th. There is potential for the employee in this position to join the staff as a permanent,
full-time member of the school’s administration after the completion of the temporary assignment. The
Marketing & Recruitment Coordinator will report directly to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities:
 Responsible for securing 300 new student application packets for grades 5 through 8
 Organize information and recruitment sessions at community organizations throughout St. Louis City
to advertise school to perspective students and parents
 Establish relationships with community agencies, feeder schools, parents and other stakeholders to
grow the school’s word-of-mouth reputation and application pool
 Organize Door-to-Door flyer and application campaigns to advertise school and recruit local
residents to community information & recruitment sessions
 Act as primary contact for perspective families for answering questions and maneuvering students
through the application process
 Organize Student Lottery and Waitlist when applications exceeds available spots
 Develop and disperse press kits and releases to actively keep positive images of the school in media
 Organize purchase of local media advertisements during recruitment season
 Organize and manage the school’s website and social media to maximize recruitment efforts
 Work with printing & publishing vendors to update school marketing materials and manage our
direct mailing campaigns
Qualifications:
 At least 3 to 5 years of sales and/ or recruitment experience with demonstrated evidence in reaching
fiscal goals and benchmarks
 1 to 2 years of team and/or project management experience
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfort in interacting with diverse populations
 Ability to market our school model as a “Second-to-None” option in St. Louis
 Ease with initiating contact and conversation through door-to-door campaigns and cold-calling
 Experience with, or knowledge of, North St. Louis community and community stakeholders
 Entrepreneurial and autonomous work ethic; personal qualities of tenaciousness, humility,
relentlessness, goal driven, “a closer”, and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
 Bachelor's degree strongly recommended
Compensation:
Total Project Period Pay is $12,000 to $15,000 (depending on experience and results). Benefits are
not provided for non-fulltime staff.
