I am a rescue certified, AAUS scientific diver with over 230 logged dives and have a collecting permit #801055-04 issued from the Department of Fish and Game of the State of California. I am certified in the Principles and Applications of ICP-MS taught by expert Dr. Zed Mason and have over 150 hrs of experience using the LA-ICP-MS at UC Santa Barbara. I’ve been trained to write NSF grants at SCRIPPS as part of SIO 275A taken as an extension student. I am competent using both MAC and IBM computers and have proficient skills using Word, Excel, and Powerpoint and I have novice experience using C++ for computer programming. I have professional skills using Adobe Photoshop version 6.0 as a former free-lance photographer for the OC Register. I have and have applied my conversational ability in Spanish while working for Baja Discovery, an ecotourism company, while setting up a base camp for grey whale encounters at Punta Piedra, in San Ignacio Lagoon, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
