Audition Requirements for Conservatory Program February-May 2013 YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN Rehearsals Tuesdays & Sundays 5pm-8pm Performances May 24 & 25, 2013 LEGALLY BLONDE Rehearsals Mondays 5-8pm and Saturdays 2-5pm Performances May 31 & June 1, 2013 YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN- Revised Edition (ages 5-15*) About 2 minutes of a song (CD accompaniment or A capella) Audition form with all scheduling conflicts 1-2 minutes monologue (memorized) May be asked to read from script (sides will be made available, but need not be memorized) Headshot or current photo and resume preferred, but not required. LEGALLY BLONDE (ages 13-21*) About 32 bars of a song (CD accompaniment or A capella). Pop/Belt or Pop Musical Theatre Song preferred. Audition form with all scheduling conflicts 1-2 minute monologue (memorized) May be asked to read from script (sides will be made available, but need not be memorized) Headshot or current photo and resume Dance Callbacks will be held on another date *Auditionees for LEGALLY BLONDE may also be considered for YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN based on age and availability of roles. Additional Information Students in the conservatory program will be required to attend scheduled classes/rehearsals and all performances. These will be held at Florida Repertory Theatre in various rooms on site including the Studio, Rehearsal Hall and our Main Stage Theatre. LEGALLY BLONDE performances will be held in the Arcade Theatre and YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN performances will be held in the ArtStage Studio Theatre. Classes are run as professional rehearsals. All students are expected to arrive on time, with script, pencil, all music, appropriate clothing and shoes (for dance) and ready to work. They will also be expected to work at home on their roles (choreography, music, lines) and retain what was taught in class. Students that miss more than 2 scheduled rehearsals will be replaced at the director’s discretion. LEGALLY BLONDE is rated PG-13 and does contain some adult language and situations. YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN is rated G. We are looking to accept about 15-25 students into LEGALLY BLONDE and 6-10 students into YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN based on the needs of each production.
