S1 Learning Log
Your learning log is evidence that you understand the activities
you participate in. Your teacher will use it to assess your work and
give you feedback.
LEARNING INTENTION: I can give and accept constructive feedback
on my own and others’ work.
SUCCESS CRITERIA:


Write neatly in pencil or blue/black pen, date each entry
and number your answers.
Answer ALL questions in sentences and give as much detail
as possible.
1) What have you been doing this week in Drama? Describe as
many activities as you can.
2) What were you learning about when you were doing this
work? (For example voice, movement, theatre arts like
lighting or sound.)
3) Did you learn any new Drama vocabulary? List any new
words you learned and explain what they mean.
4) Identify someone in the class you think has worked well this
week and Give evidence for your choice – why/how did
they work well?
5) What did you do well this week in Drama? Give an example:
Did you give ideas, present good work, or give good
feedback to others?
6) TARGET – how do you think you could improve the next
time you do these activities? You must identify a target.

EXEMPLAR LEARNING LOG: Drama vocabulary shown in yellow
1. This week we created a drama with a beginning, middle and
end. The teacher gave us the beginning of the story and we
had to share our ideas and make up the rest of the story
ourselves. We did a spider diagram of our ideas, and then
discussed each one and how we could make it into a drama.
2. We were learning how to give our own ideas and work well
as a group.
3. Stimulus - A starting point for a drama. This week the
stimulus was the beginning of our story.
4. Sarah did really well this week. She gave a good idea but she
liked other ideas too, so she was really fair to others.
5. This week I think I did well at coming up with ideas.
I came up with more characters for the drama which meant
everyone was involved. I also gave an idea about how to
give the story a cliff-hanger ending by using a freeze frame.
6. TARGET – I need to listen to others more as sometimes I
talked a bit too much in the group and the others got a bit
annoyed.
