INTERROGATIVE PRONOUNS
An interrogative pronoun is a pronoun that introduces a question.
Who is in the room? What is on the table?

How to Choose the correct form of the Interrogative pronoun:
1. Determine the function of the pronoun in the question to establish the case.

Is it the Subject of the question? (Who?, What?)

Does it show possession? (Whose?)

Is it the indirect object of the verb? (To whom?)

Is it the direct object of the verb? (Whom? What?)

Is it the object of a preposition? (With whom? By whom?, etc)
2. Determine number and gender.

Masculine and feminine genders share the same form in singular.

Examples of sentences:
1. Nominative Case

Who is in the dining room? Quis est in triclinio?

Who is coming today? Qui hodie veniunt?

What is in the chest? Quid est in arca?
2. Genitive

I have his book. Whose do you have?
Cuius habes?
3. Dative

To whom shall I give the letter?
Cui litteras dabo?
4. Accusative

Whom do you see? Quem vides?

Whom is the soldier killing? Quos miles necat?

What do you see in the city? Quae in urbe vides?
5. Ablative

By whom are you loved?
A quo amatus es?

With whom is he walking? Quocum ambulat?

With whom are they walking?
Quibuscum ambulant?
INTERROGATIVE ADJECTIVE
An interrogative adjective is an adjective that asks a question about a noun.
What book is on the table?
Which person is in the room?
Whose book is on the table?
An interrogative adjective

must agree with the noun it modifies in gender, number & case.

is translated which?, or what? followed by a noun.

has the exact same forms as the Relative Pronoun.
