AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $8,917 IN GRANT
FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDING
FOR SPRINGFIELD ROAD IMPROVEMENTS ALONG MAIN
STREET (US 17/SR 15) FROM 10TH STREET TO 12TH
STREET; PROVIDING A CARRYOVER OF FUNDS TO
FISCAL YEAR 2008-2009; AMENDING THE 2007-2012
FIVE-YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM APPROVED
BY ORDINANCE 2007-814-E TO INCREASE THE BUDGET
FOR THE PROJECT ENTITLED “MAIN ST.
STREETSCAPING”; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, OR HIS
DESIGNEE, AND CORPORATION SECRETARY TO EXECUTE
AND DELIVER DOCUMENTS AND TAKE FURTHER ACTION
TO EFFECTUATE THE PURPOSE OF THIS ORDINANCE;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Jacksonville:
Section 1.
Appropriation. For the 2007-2008 fiscal year,
within the City’s budget, there are hereby appropriated the
indicated sum(s) from the account(s) listed in subsection (a) to
the account(s) listed in subsection (b):

incorporated herein by this reference and is labeled “Revised
Exhibit 1, Amended B.T. 08-044, January 14, 2008 – Finance”)

Section 2.
Purpose. The purpose of the appropriation in
Section 1 is to provide additional funding for the Main St.
Streetscaping.
Section 3.
Carryover. The funds appropriated in this
ordinance shall not lapse but shall carryover to fiscal year 20082009.
Section 4.
CIP Amendment. Ordinance 2007-814-E, being
the 2007-2012 Five-Year Capital Improvement Program for the City
and certain of its independent agencies, is hereby amended to
increase the budget for the project entitled “Main St.
Streetscaping” This project is more fully described in the Project
Information Sheet, attached hereto as Revised Exhibit 2 and
incorporated herein by this reference and is labeled “Revised
Exhibit 2, Amended CIP, January 14, 2008 – Finance”. This
ordinance shall constitute an amendment to Ordinance 2007-814-E.
In all other respects, the Five-Year Capital Improvement Program
approved by Ordinance 2007-814-E shall continue in full force and
effect.
Section 5.
Authorization. The Mayor, or his designee,
and Corporation Secretary are hereby authorized to (1) execute and
deliver, for and on behalf of the City, all agreements, including,

but not limited to, the Local Agency Program Supplemental
Agreement, in substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit 3
and incorporated herein by this reference, and other documents
necessary or appropriate to effectuate the purpose of this
ordinance and (2) take, or cause to be taken, for and on behalf of
the City, such further action to effectuate the purpose of this
ordinance.
Section 6.
Effective Date. This ordinance shall become
effective upon signature by the Mayor or upon becoming effective
without the Mayor’s signature.
