Directions for summer work:
1. Log in to Quest at https://quest.cns.utexas.edu
2. You will need to remember your login and password. If you don’t have one then
Click on I need a UT EID. (On the back, you will find specific directions to help
you get your UT EID.)
If you can’t remember your UT EID or password you may contact Mrs. Webb or
Click on I forgot my UT EID or password. Mrs. Webb only has your UT EID’s.
3. To enroll in a course you will need the following code:
AH Algebra 2: 2012002
AH Pre-Calculus: 2012004
Some things to remember when you are inputting your answers:
1. Quest doesn’t accept fractions as answers. You must type in the decimal answer.
Quest wants answers rounded to 5 decimal places when appropriate. (Actually it
uses significant digits, but you won’t learn about significant digits until later.)

Example: If your answer is ½ then type in .5, but if your answer is then type in
3
.66667.
2. Multiple choice answers are listed in numerical form (1, 2, 3, 4, etc.) not in
alphabet form (A, B, C, D, etc.)
3. There may be multiple parts to some questions so look for things like Part 1 of 2.
4. Once you miss a question, Quest will deduct points. If you are unsure why you
are missing the question then email Mrs. Webb for advice.
(webbdi@rcs.k12.tn.us). You do have multiple opportunities to answer the
question, but please don’t continue to answer the question if you are missing it
every time. You would really hate to have a negative score. Please give Mrs.
Webb at least 24 hours to respond.
5. AH Algebra 2 has one assignment of 40 questions.
6. AH Pre-Calculus has 3 assignments.
7. All Assignments are due by 11:59 pm on 8/17/12.

Directions for creating a UT EID:

Click on I need a UT EID.
Click on Continue
Get a UT EID: you should mark “NO” to the four questions.
On the next page, only fill out the following information. Please do not
give too much information.
1. First Name (The name that you want to go by in my class is fine.)
2. Last Name
3. Email address
(You may use my email address if you like: webbdi@rcs.k12.tn.us .
Your email address is needed only if you forget your user name and
password.)
4. Verify your email address
Next page. Select questions one, two and three and provide your answers.
Next page. Select password and hint. You may want to select something like
“BHS1234567”
Next page. Make sure all of your information is correct then click on
CREATE MY UT EID.
Once you have your UT EID write down your id and your password and don’t
lose it.
Directions for enrolling in a class:
1. Log in to Quest using the link: https://quest.cns.utexas.edu
2. You must now enroll in the course using a code.

3. Please give the instructor 24 hours to accept you as a student.
4. Once you have been accepted, start on your summer work.
