Revisions to the Sixth College General Education Requirements With the goal of streamlining time-to-degree, the Sixth College general education requirements have been revised effective for ALL students starting the Fall 2014 quarter. The following revisions to the Sixth College general education requirements are now APPROVED and will soon reflect on student's degree audits: 1. Removal of the Ethical Context general education requirement. 2. Removal of the Social Context general education requirement. Students will still be required to complete the university Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) requirement and the courses will be permitted to overlap with other general education breadth requirements, where applicable. 3. Allow major department courses to overlap with general education requirements. 4. Removal of the current limit on Advanced Placement courses satisfying general education requirements. 5. Allow one artistic genre in satisfying the Art Making (minimum of 8 units) general education requirement. All students have been transitioned to the revised general education requirements.
