UCSD Sixth College Requirement Checklist
At Sixth College, our academic advising mission is to develop personal and caring relationships with students
and to help them achieve educational, career, and life goals. In order to make this possible, students are
expected to: be aware of their Major, College, and University requirements, meet regularly with Major and
College advising staff, and come prepared to each advising appointment.
Please use this checklist as a personal record of your progress towards meeting the College and University
requirements. In the space provided, you may list the coursework that you used to complete the requirement.
University Requirements
Along with the Sixth College GE requirements, all students must satisfy the following University
Requirements by the time they graduate:
60 Upper Division Units
Minimum of 180 Cumulative Units
UC Writing (Entry Level Writing)
AHI- American History and Institution (generally satisfied with a High School History
course)
DEI- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Requirement (see Sixth College website for a link to
the approved course list)
Minimum 2.0 Cumulative GPA
Minimum 2.0 Major GPA
No more than 25% of your UCSD units can be taken P/NP
Satisfy Senior Residency (35 of last 45 units must be taken at UCSD)
