The Seed’s Alive

Satan came to Eve in the garden, started weaving his evil spell
He knew that the seed of God was there and he wanted that seed to fail
So he made his way to the woman and he told her the great big lie
Go ahead and eat from the tree of life, you’ll live and you’ll never die
She looked at the tree and it pleased her, so she took and she did eat
And for a little while the devil smiled cause he thought he had God beat
But the seed survived
Satan stood off in the shadows while Mary was giving birth
Fear welled up inside him when that star appeared over the earth
Then his mind raced back to the garden and the word that the true God said
About a seed the woman was gonna bring forth and the heel that would bruise the head
Satan knew that he had trouble just as soon as he realized
Because then and there he did declare, the woman’s seed gotta die
But the seed survived
You and I face a whole lotta trouble as we journey out across this land
Our nation’s turned away from God and getting worse on every hand
Things are looking pretty bad on the outside by the shape that the world is in
Satan’s doing every thing he knows how to destroy this world with sin
But there’s something planted deep inside every Christian heart today
I gotta little bad news for the devil, He aint ever gonna have his way
The seeds alive, the seeds alive
And as long as it’s watered by the word it’s gonna thrive
Satan may try to put it asunder, for a little while it may strive
But in the end he’ll never win cause the seeds alive
