Donna L. Connally, Esq.
Donna Connally is a mediator and attorney
with more than 30 years combined
experience as a litigator and business
owner. She mediates disputes in the areas
of Business, Contracts, Personal Injury, and
Community Associations/LandlordsTenants.
Ms. Connally brings a unique legal
background to her mediation practice – 18
years of criminal defense work and several
years sitting as a Judge Pro Tem in the
Small Claims, Unlawful Detainers, and
Traffic Courts of San Bernardino County. As a criminal defense attorney, Ms. Connally earned a
reputation for being a credible, accomplished negotiator and innovative problem-solver. She
dealt with cases involving everything from minor offenses to assault, theft, fraud, sex crimes, and
murder. She is able to fully comprehend autopsy and medical reports; evaluate injuries/damage
to persons and property; and to follow complex document trails.
Through her Pro Tem work and her years as a business owner, Ms. Connally added a command
of business, contract, and community association/landlord-tenant law. She has participated in
over 70 mediations.
As an advocate, Ms. Connally handled thousands of cases that either settled or went to trial. She
represented both adults and juveniles from varied economic and cultural backgrounds, dealt with
countless attorneys, and faced a number of juries. She fully respects the attorney-client
relationship, and has a profound understanding that individuals facing life-altering circumstances
have an enduring desire to exert a level of control over outcomes. Ms. Connally’s breadth of
experience has led to her belief in three keys to a productive and successful mediation:



where strands of agreement might be cultivated.

Flexibility – Be available to act as a buffer between inflexible or hostile opponents, a facilitator of emotion-driven discussions, and an evaluator of parties’ proposed settlement
terms.
Ms. Connally is a long-standing member of the Hon. Joseph B. Campbell American Inn of
Court, serving as a Board member since 2011, and the Western San Bernardino County Bar
Association. She continues to do pro bono mediations in the Small Claims courts of Riverside
County. She is an avid sports fan, particularly basketball and baseball, and played in the “Final
Four” of the Women’s National Collegiate Basketball Tournament. She is also a golfer and
enjoys gardening and cooking.
