*BBA Senior: Integrative Knowledge Leadership Project
Through this Integrative Knowledge Leadership Project, you will develop your leadership
capacities by learning to identify, synthesize and digitally demonstrate the wide array of
knowledge, insights and skills you have gained through your curricular and co-curricular
experiences at Ross, incorporating your broader life experiences. Through the project, you
will identify aspects of your formal and informal learning that connect across different
courses and experiences. You will reflect on how you are applying core knowledge and skills
across different contexts. You will learn how to creatively communicate the relevancy of
business frameworks in a compelling manner. You will also learn several essential
leadership-related skills, including how to identify the unconscious knowledge you and
others have developed from real-life experiences, and how to integrate this essential (yet
hidden) knowledge with your passions, goals and leadership aspirations.
This is a group independent study project under the direction of Associate Deans Valerie
Suslow and Lynn Wooten. Melissa Peet (MSW PhD, Assistant Research Scientist at UM and
Adjunct Lecturer, Ross School of Business), an expert in the e-Portfolio approach to
integrative learning, will lead the project. There will be five group sessions, along with
individual work. As a result of this project, you will create an Integrative Knowledge
Leadership Portfolio and will have the option to showcase this portfolio in a highly visible online international gallery. Each participating BBA Senior student will receive 1.5
credits for this independent study project. If you are interested, please contact
Associate Dean Lynn Wooten at lpwooten@umich.edu.

*Master of Entrepreneurship
During the past two decades, small businesses provided 60-80% of the net new jobs in the
United States economy and were responsible for the commercialization of radical new
technologies that are transforming the way we live. The Michigan Master of
Entrepreneurship (MsE) gives students the ability to create new technology-focused
ventures, either as standalone entities or within established innovative organizations.
This instruction is not available through conventional business or engineering curricula. Most
business schools focus on the skill set required in larger, more mature organizations. Most
engineering programs do not include market assessment and commercialization skills. The
MsE program brings these two cultures together in a novel synthesis that is greater than the
sum of its parts.
Visit our website: http://entrepreneurship.umich.edu/.
Applications accepted on a rolling basis until April 15, 2012. Apply now!

frequent concerns of U-M students. These are the very issues that U-M students have told
CAPS are the most common issues they deal with every day. The counselor will share some
helpful information, talk about strategies and clinical resources, and she or he will also
make time for you to share a little bit about your concerns (if you wish to do so).
