Gerontologic Nursing Scientist
Kunin-Lunenfeld Applied and Evaluative Research Unit (KLAERU), Baycrest
KLAERU invites applications for a scientist position in gerontologic nursing. The ideal
candidate is an established scientist or new investigator with exceptional scholarship in
programme evaluation and/or models of clinical practice change with a focus on health care
delivery to seniors across a continuum of needs associated with aging and/or progression of
neurodegenerative disorders.
The candidate will develop an innovative program of research aimed at enhancing
clinical care at Baycrest - the major geriatric teaching hospital/facility affiliated with the
University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine that includes a continuum of care from community
outreach to long-term and continuing complex care, as well as a focus on rehabilitation and the
management of behavioural disturbances. The candidate must have a PhD (or equivalent) and
preferably postdoctoral experience and be eligible for cross-appointment at the University of
Toronto at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
