B1128-C - LOGIC GATES TRAINER
(factory code E14)
The E14 trainer consists of a collection of
elementary logic gates on a single board to
show the basics of Boolean Algebra. Also
the gates can be interconnected to
implement elementary combinatorial logics.
The technical features and characteristics of
the trainer are the following:
The trainer provides:
·
·
·
·
·
two-inputs AND gates
two-inputs OR gates
two-inputs EX-OR gates
NOT gates
two-inputs NAND gates
All ICs belong to the Low-Power Schottky TTL
family (74LS**). This ensure widespread
availability of spares, should these be
required.
Each gate is provided with a light indicator
of the logic status of inputs and outputs. The
convention used+ is that a light-on indicates
a High-Level logic status (logic “1”).
Note that with all gates of the 74LS** family
leaving an input open equals to give to the
same input a high logic level.
Low and high logic levels can be impressed
to the gate inputs by tying the same to the
sockets provided for this purpose at the
upper left and right corners of the trainer.
All logic gates are clearly identified by the
relevant symbol silk printed on the trainer
front face.
The Integrated Circuits (ICs) implementing
the logic gates are visible.
The board has a voltage stabilizer
producing from the unregulated DC supply
the +5V required for operation of the
circuits.
