Interex will close down local market network 10:32 2012-09-12 CIJ Journal Załączone dokumenty: After more than a decade on the Romanian market, the French supermarket chain Interex will close all 12 of its stores in the region by Nov. 15, according to that daily Ziarul Financiar. The company has already canceled some of its supply orders and plans to sell off its Romanian stocks. The financial crisis had a huge impact on the French chain, with revenue steadily decreasing over the last four years to €16m. Interex is owned by Groupement des Mousquetaires-Intermarche. It opened its first store in Romania in 2002 in the city of Ploieşti. Interex also has stores in Giurgiu, Focşani, Târgu Jiu, Satu Mare, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Târgovişte, Constanţa, Sibiu, Vaslui, Drobeta Turnu Severin and Bârlad. Interex is the second largest foreign retailer to leave the Romanian market in the last 12 months. Last year, G'Market sold its five regional stores to Carrefour and Mega Image. 1/1
